What Can a Custom Table Hold?
Custom tables are flexible. Here are some examples of how different businesses use them:Appointment Scheduling
Store client appointments with fields for name, date, time, service type, and staff member. View and manage your full appointment list from the dashboard.
Product Catalogue
Keep a structured list of products with fields for name, description, price, category, and availability. Display your catalogue directly on your website.
Class Schedule
Manage a timetable of classes with fields for class name, instructor, day, time, and spaces available. Show the live schedule on any page of your site.
Service Menu
List your services with fields for name, description, duration, and price. Keep it up to date in the dashboard and have it reflected on your site automatically.
Custom tables are real, structured database storage — not a spreadsheet or a notes field. Your data is organised into proper columns and rows, stored securely, and can be retrieved, searched, and displayed on your website. This is the same kind of database technology used by professional web applications.
How to Request a Custom Table
1
Describe the data you want to store
Tell REG121 what information you need to keep track of. For example: “I need a table for my class schedule — each class has a name, an instructor, a day of the week, a start time, and a maximum number of spaces.” The more detail you give, the better REG121 can tailor the structure to you.
2
REG121 designs the table
REG121 creates a database table with the right columns for your data. You’ll see a preview of the structure — the field names and the type of information each one holds (for example, a date field, a number field, or a text field).
3
Review and confirm
Check that the table covers everything you need. If you want to add a field, rename something, or make any changes, just ask. Once you’re happy, REG121 finalises the table and it becomes available in your dashboard.
4
Add and manage your data
Open the Data section of your REG121 dashboard to start adding entries to your table. You can add, edit, and remove records at any time — no technical knowledge needed.
5
Display the data on your website
Ask REG121 to show your table data on a page of your site. For example: “Show my class schedule on the Timetable page.” REG121 will pull the data directly from your table and display it — and whenever you update the table in your dashboard, the page updates automatically.
Keeping Your Data Up to Date
Once your custom table is set up, you manage it entirely from your dashboard — no need to ask REG121 to make changes to individual records. You can:- Add new entries — for example, a new class added to your schedule or a new product in your catalogue
- Edit existing records — update a price, change an instructor, or correct a detail
- Remove entries — delete records you no longer need
